Who is Ray

Ray is a graduate of West Virginia University's Reed College of Media, where he earned a bachelor's degree. His academic emphasis was on Advertising and Public Relations, complemented by minor studies in Event Planning, Hospitality, and Tourism Management.

In his experience as a multimedia specialist, Ray is dedicated to facilitating connections between brands and their target audiences. He achieves this through the development of strategic messaging, the creation of authentic imagery, the implementation of innovative journalistic techniques, and the delivery of immersive storytelling experiences.

Ray is currently the Child & Youth Program Coordinator for the New Jersey National Guard. In this role, Ray actively provides resiliency training, educational outreach programs, financial guidance, and emotional support for military youth and their families. Ray is a child of two National Guard service members and has found a passion for working with youth who have experienced military life as he did.

  • As a PR specialist at the student-led advertising and public relations firm, Ray played a key role in crafting engaging content for print media. His efforts were focused on boosting awareness and engagement within the West Virginia agrotourism industry through a collaborative partnership with WVU Extension. Working as part of the creative team, Ray skillfully developed educational displays, penned insightful articles, and sparked meaningful conversations surrounding the intricate process of hard apple cider-making and the industry's fascinating history.

January 2020- Present

  • Ray worked as a media consultant in advertising and marketing sales before he served as Manager of Marketing for the agency. In this role, he created marketing strategies, implemented social media branding guides, and offered tactical advice in messaging.


Hypothetical Client Campaign

  • While aiming to increase awareness and foot traffic for the client, this campaign includes infographics, press releases, and blogs. Using existing and reinvented content, public engagement could be increased.
